Pinker maintains an index of the files it finds on the drives and folders that you tell it to index. This information is only available to the Pinker application on your machine.
For the technically minded, while Pinker is running it runs a server on your machine and connects to it via port 7140 on the standard hard-coded local IP address 127.0.0.1. The server only accepts connections from the Pinker application itself. You can point your browser at http://127.0.0.1:7140 to see the session error generated as Pinker refuses this connection.
